Displaying acts of violence, pain and suffering this series shows visually the emotion felt within the LBGT community in an intense manner. You are forced to see acts of violence which is still committed today. To show that we are still fighting unjust issues and they portray violent acts which at one stage were accepted as the correct punishment for being a gay person. These photographs are to help make you understand that same sex couples are being neglected and are being discriminated by law and even though you may not be able to see it from the outside they are hurting as they can’t be with the one they love in the best legal sense. This series of photographs is my own portrayal of the hurt that they experience. Raising attention to the support of Same Sex Marriage for Northern Ireland.
