A Tribe is a form of a stereotype which is used within the gay community. This is to describe only visually- one’s personal identity and sexual preference. Presented here are portraits of gay males who each represent a different tribe.

 

These tribes can also be linked into each other as sub types meaning many can relate and adapt to more than one tribe. Being a gay male myself, this series is also a task to the viewer to place myself into a tribe. A way to help find my own identity within the gay community.
